The president of PASOK and head of the Democratic Alignment Fofi Gennimata has urged the government to either “get serious” or step dow, arguing that if it is incapable of acting, then “this parliament must assume its responsibilities”.

In an interview on ANT1, Mrs. Gennimata questioned whether the coalition government needs help to govern, even though it already has a majority in Parliament.

Mrs. Gennimata also called the government to abandon its pension reform plan – which she argued was ‘revenue-raising’ – and urged the government to initiate talks with all social bodies, in order to find solutions which “will obviously include painful measures, but will be more just”.
