The President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos will swear in the 16-member caretaker government on Friday morning, after the president of the Popular Union Panagiotis Lafazanis exhausted the exploratory mandate he was given earlier this week.

The Supreme Court President Vasiliki Thanou will be summoned by President Pavlopoulos later on Thursday to be appointed Prime Minister until the elections scheduled for the 20th of September. To Vima has been informed that the list of the 16-member caretaker government is nearly complete.

Rumored to be included in the caretaker government are Petros Molyviatis for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Giorgos Houliarakis for the Ministry of Finances, Nikos Christodoulakis for the Ministry of Economy, Antonis Manitakis for the Ministry of Interior, Michalis Spourdalakis for the Ministry of Administrative Reform, Lt Gen (ret) Yannis Giangos at the Ministry of National Defense, Antonis Makrydimitris at the Ministry of Public Order, Froso Kiaou at the Ministry of Education, Christos Zois at the Ministry of Shipping and Rodolfos Moronis as government spokesman.
