Εργαζόμενοι στα μεταλλωρυχεία Χαλκιδικής φωνάζουν συνθήματα κατά τη διάρκεια συγκέντρωσης διαμαρτυρίας έξω από το υπουργείο Παραγωγικής Ανασυγκρότησης, στην Αθήνα, Πέμπτη 16 Απριλίου 2015. Σε σειρά κινητοποιήσεων προβαίνουν σήμερα στην Αθήνα οι μεταλλωρύχοι, οι οποίοι έφτασαν το πρωί στην Αθήνα με 82 πούλμαν, ζητώντας τη συνέχιση της λειτουργίας των μεταλλείων χρυσού στις Σκουριές Χαλκιδικής. The miners employed by Hellenic Gold have symbolically cut off access to the old town hall in Arnea, as they escalate their actions in response to the temporary closure of the controversial mining operation.
The municipal employees have left the building, which houses all services of the Aristotelis municipality. Police officers are reportedly on the scene and are discreetly observing the situation.
In the meantime another group of miners is protesting by remaining inside the Olympiada mines.
