The main opposition party MP Adonis Georgiadis is in favor of New Democracy abstaining from the upcoming vote in Parliament for the third bailout program.

Mr. Georgiadis, who argued on SKAI that the third “left-wing bailout” is “the worst so far” accused Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras of being incompetent and noted that the bailout terms constituted a crush and major defeat.

The outspoken New Democracy MP claimed that the Greek economy has lost 200 billion euros in the past six months, with SYRIZA in charge, while the public sector lost about 60 billion euros.

ND MP Sofia Voultepsi, who also appeared on SKAI with Mr. Georgiadis, however stressed that New Democracy “will vote consciously” precisely because Greece has not yet overcome the danger.

Meanwhile provisional party leader Evangelos Meimarakis is expected to call a Parliamentary Group meeting prior to the bailout agreement being tabled, in order to set his terms for the main opposition party to support the measures.
