The President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz has issued a statement, following the conclusion of the referendum, urging the Greek government to submit its proposals.

The President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz has issued a statement, following the conclusion of the referendum, urging the Greek government to submit its proposals.

Mr. Schulz noted that he respects the will of the Greek people, but stated that it would be very difficult for the banks to open on Monday and to have money on Tuesday.

Furthermore, he also stressed that the humanitarian aid will be for the ‘poorest of the poor’.
