The Communist Party has announced a rally in Syntagma Square on Friday to demonstrate against an agreement with the European Union, where the party’s general secretary Dimitris Koutsoumpas will give a speech.

In its statement the Communist Party notes that “we have paid enough for the blackmail and ridicule” from the government and the country’s creditors and urges that it is time for rupture with the European Union, capital and their authority.

Mr. Koutsoumpas speech is scheduled to begin at 8pm.
