SYRIZA MEP Dimitris Papadimoulis predicted that the measures which will be included in the agreement with Greece’s creditors will pass in Parliament.
Mr. Papadimoulis told ERT that he was confident that the measures would be approved in Parliament by a great majority, thus confirming the government’s mandate.
Furthermore, he explained that the measures are harsh, but noted that the government is trying to spread the burden, adding that the impact of the measures can only be judged by their results.
Should the measures not pass though, he estimated that the Prime Minister will have to take political initiatives.
