The leader of the River Stavros Theodorakis has called for a meeting of political leaders “who believe in democracy and Europe”, while stressing the need for an agreement for growth and social justice.
Such a meeting, he explained, would “strengthen the voice of Europe” and “truly help” Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras insecure in securing a good agreement on Monday.
Mr. Theodorakis, whose party’s parliamentary group is convening on Friday, questioned what the Prime Minister’s stance will be at the Euro Summit on Monday.
He also praised the pro-Europe demonstration that was held in Syntagma square on Thursday evening, adding that it was a message to all «those who confuse the moderation of Europhiles with defeatism«.
