When ERT shut down many reacted, because they considered the measure to be excessive, incomprehensible and historically unacceptable.

There were people, who in the face of absolute catastrophe overcame the inhibitions caused by partisanship, maladministration, the immense financial cost and constant scandals that rocked the long-suffering State television.

Afterwards there was no shortage of people dreaming of another ERT, a different, pluralistic station of culture and information; a Greek BBC if you will.

However, the ERT that has been broadcasted since yesterday is very distant from the dream of a modern and pluralistic television station.

The parade of ministers, politicians and party officers, the Prime Minister included, create the impression that the multi-colored governing party is trying to take over the ERT HQ in Agia Paraskevi.

The whole atmosphere alludes to the conquest of a space of political and ideological influence, as it occurs in regime changes.

Only that is not what happened in Greece. The government merely changed, with a percentage of the vote that is far from the majority of the Greek people.

If anything, the government should be careful and respectful.

ERT is being paid by the Greek people, it does not belong to the governing party and cannot become a SYRIZA TV.
