At a moment when the Prime Minister is trying via communications and meeting with leaders that determine Europe’s fortunes to come to a difficult and obviously painful agreement, which will rid the country of the uncertainty and insecurity, some of his party officers insist upon putting the option of a rupture back on the table. With an incredible lightheartedness, their regular statements and interventions are a constant attempt to preemptively sabotage an agreement that does not comply with their obsessions with

Whether they are considering the political cost or are unable to fully understand the fatal consequences of a rupture with Europe, they are poisoning a section of society that is suffering from absurd and populist promises that will collapse overnight. With the country cut off from every source of funding, the economy on a constant down turn, the production base unable to cover the country’s needs and the banks on the brink, choosing a rupture of more so a departure from the euro would be catastrophic.

The cost of this idleness is already becoming unbearable for both the private and public sector of the economy.

The Greek drama must finally come to an end, because the consequences of this extended negotiation are increasingly becoming apparent on a daily basis.
