The District Governor of Peloponnesus Petros Tatoulis has declared a state of emergency in the Municipality of Tripoli once more, in response to the serious waste management problem.

The state of emergency will last for three months, until the 13th of April, in order to address the public health problems that are caused from the accumulation of waste in the city streets.

Ιn his statement Mr. Tatoulis underlined that the situation is intolerable and is quickly becoming a hygiene crisis. Mr. Tatoulis previously declared a state of emergency in October 2014, which expired on the 10th of January 2015.
