The Ministry of Finances and the State Treasury have published their latest divs on the budget for the first six months of 2014, according to which the primary balance came to 707 million euros (5 million euros less than initial estimations), up from 635 in the same period of 2013.

Furthermore, the Ministry’s data indicates that the budget deficit came to 2.41 billion euros, compared to the 4.99 billion euros deficit in 2014. The net state budget income was estimated to be 23.61 billion euiros, increased by 241 million euros from the set goals, while the regular budget revenue was 20.64 billion euros, 0.3% up from the set goal.

According to the official data tax revenue in the January-June period was 19.021 billion euros, 0.5% more than the original estimate. The greatest tax revenue increase came from the taxation of legal entities, which were 18.9% more than initially estimated.
