The police announced that they have resolved the case of the recent murder of a 54-year-old archimandrite, who was discovered dead in his residence in Chora, Messinia.

According to the police report, a 24-year-old Georgian and an 18-year-old Greek committed the murder. The two men confessed their crime on Monday and are being prosecuted for intentional homicide.

The two men claim to have gone to the priest’s residence on Saturday evening and after a disagreement, they injured him in the head. They later used an item of clothing to suffocate him. After searching through his home, the two men left.
