The Greek Statistics Authority ELSTAT announced that between January 2013 and December 2013, the total value of Greek exports marginally dropped by 0.2%, compared to the same 12-month period in 2012. Additionally, ELSTAT revealed that the total value of imports in 2013 also dropped by 5% compared to 2012.

The total value of imports in December 2013 was found to be 3,486.2 million euros, compared to 3,870.2 in 2012, indicating a 9.9% reduction. If petroleum-based products are not included, the rate of reduction is 12.2%

Regarding exports, the total value in December was found to be 2,095.4 million euros, compared to 2,441.6 million euros in 2012, meaning that there was a 14.2% drop. If petroleum-based products are excluded, the documented reduction in the value of total value of is 3.7%
