A former Golden Dawn candidate Themis Evangelia K. Skordeli will stand trial for a series of violations including forgery, intellectual property violations and a slew of other crimes. The 50-year-old woman was caught by the police after the arrest of the former Chief of Security from the Police Department of Agios Panteleimonas.
Skordeli was a Golden Dawn candidate in the previous elections and has been an active member of the ultra nationalist party for a while. She has been involved in many attacks against immigrants in Agios Panteleimonas and was one of the plaintiffs and prosecution witnesses against the secretary of the Revolutionary Worker Party (ΕΕΚ) Savvas Michail.
The 50-year-old was been indicted for racist attacks against Afghan immigrants, however her trial has been postponed eight times so far, since she submits medical notes claiming that she suffers from mental health issues.
The police recovered many Golden Dawn documents, handwritten notes with addresses and other detailed information of foreign nationals, a bank account book with a huge sum of money, as well as two large bags filled with counterfeit goods.
