Nine sector federations, including the federation of private sector employees OIYE and federations of press, radio and television employees, have formed a union movement, in order to promote common goals and initiatives.
In their announcement statement they claim that they do not intend to form a “rival union”, however some of their union members have expressed their intention to take up initiatives that move at faster pace than those of GSEE.
GSEE is preparing for its 35th conference to elect a new leadership, which will take place between the 21st and 24th of March in Alexandroupoli.
