The police have launched an investigation for the apprehension of two individuals suspected of participating in militant political group SPF. The police are currently investigating two homes in Athens and have issued warrants for their arrest for participating in “Synomosia Pyrinon tis Fotias” and abetting a robbery.
The Sunday issue of Vima revealed that one of the two suspects studies at the University of Piraeus, while the other studies in the Chemical Engineering department of the National Technical University .
According to the police one is “the son of an active unionist, who was seriously injured by riot police a few years ago”. The other, according to a senior executive in the Ministry of Public Order is the “son of a retired officer of the Armed Forces from Lamia”. Both appear to have become active in antiauthoritarian activism in the past two years.
The police are looking for the two students, as well as two further suspects (a man and a woman), who are thought to have been present at the Velvedo robberies.
