During Thursday’s session of the parliamentary Committee for the “Lagarde List” scandal, SYRIZA MP Z. Konstantopoulou examined Anastasios Banos, the former legal advisor to Mr. Papakonstantinou, for nearly five hours.
After two hours of questioning, the other Committee members left the room, leaving Mrs. Konstantopoulou alone with the witness. For the greatest part of the session, Mrs. Konstantopoulou, the witness, the Committee president or vice-president and court reporters were present.
Committee member and New Democracy MP Adonis Georgiadis commented on Vima 99.5 that the other Committee members “left Mrs. Konstantopoulou to ask Mr. Banos as many questions as he liked. She did a great job. Four hours and 47 minutes. Timed. To be honest, she is very hard working. She knows the file, she has read, I can’t say anything about that and I want to be fair. She just loses focus and can’t self-contain”.
