ADEDY, the civil servant union, has called for a three-hour panattic walkout between 8am and 11am, in protest of the trial of 35 PAME union members who were arrested when they attempted to meet the Minister of Labor. The 35 union members are accused of breaching the peace and causing damages.
In their statement, ADEDY demands that the Ministry “claims responsibility” and drop the “fabricated” charges against the 35 union members. They also call the government to revise its plan of impoverishing Greek society, likening the absolutism to “other times, which injure democracy itself”.
