GSEE, the nationwide confederation of workers, issued a press release on Sunday, in response to a government plant to “outlaw strikes through voting tricks”.
The GSEE release detailed that “while the dramatic cuts in wages, pensions and social services continue at the same time that tax evasion, high prices and unemployment are rampant, the Government is essentially attempting to outlaw strikes through voting tricks. The ultimate goal of this policy is obvious. It is none other than an attempt to castrate unions reacting to the [government’s] antidemocratic decline”.
