Two PASOK MPs and one from DIMAR have asked Parliament President E. Meimarakis to consider barring Golden Dawn’s MP Eleni Zaroulia from the Greek envoy o the European Council.
In their letter to the Parliament President, the three MPs explain that “her participation has created a series of reactions from European politicians and intellectuals, as well as human rights organizations which characterize Golden Dawn an unashamedly racist and neo-Nazi organization”.
The three MPs describe as the participation of a “political party proven to violently breach the rights of local and foreign citizens” as “contradictory and tragically ironic”. Even though the letter is only signed by PASOK and DIMAR, the MPs also mention that New Democracy and SYRIZA agree with their message.
