The President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos and the Minister of National Defense Panos Kammenos have traveled to Thessaloniki for the triple celebrations of the Saint Demetrius, the liberation of the city and the national anniversary of the 28th October.
Following the Wednesday morning service at the church of Saint Demetrius, the President commented that the celebration of Saint Demetrius, patron saint of the city, is a celebration of the Greek people and the Orthodox Christian faith. The President added that the Greek nature of Macedonia is non-negotiable.
