MP Stathis Boukouras has been expelled from Golden Dawn’s parliamentary group, presumably over a statement prepared by the MP, according to which he had no intention to attend the hearing scheduled at the Korydallos prison.

Golden Dawn issued a statement announcing the expulsion and demanding that the MP «return his bench to the Greek people as promised«.

On Monday, according to a news report by Mega Channel, the MP announced his intention to leave Parliament. This is the second MP to leave the party, after MP Chrysovalantis Alexopoulos recently announced his departure.

Alexis Kougias, the lawyer of the MP, denied rumors of his client’s departure from Golden Dawn last night.

The MP is currently detained in the prison facility of Nafplio in relation to his involvement in the criminal activities attributed to the neo-Nazi party.
