The Greek Statistics Authority ELSTAT released its divs on imports and noted that the industrial Import Price Index in May was 2.7% less, compared to May 2012. Last year the index was found to have improved by 5.1% compared to 2011.
ELSTAT attributes the drop n the so-called “import inflation” to the reduction of the import price index from Eurozone countries by 0.3% and from non-Eurozone countries by 4.7%
Furthermore, on a month-by-month basis the index was increased by 0.7%, compared to a 1.9% reduction during the same period in 2012.
