An attack with a mail bomb against a special appellate judge at his home in Holargos on Sunday evening has been claimed by militant groups SPF, FAI and Sect of Revolutionaries. The attack is part of the militant group’s “Phoenix” reprisals plan.

The SPF group claimed responsibility in a declaration that was posted on an anarchist website on Tuesday morning. The group dubbed the attack as “a first and minimum reflect response” to the arrest of two suspects for a mail bomb that was sent to a former Counter-terrorism Police commander.

The declaration is entitled “Operation Phoenix – 5 / Eat the judges” and is focused on the role of the judiciary in the ongoing terrorism investigations and is likened to that Inquisition. The authors hint that more attacks are to follow, escalating “from beatings and arson, to bombs and executions”.

The authors end the declaration with a call for solitary to the “Nadir” squat “that was recently targeted for suppression” and is signed by “Conspiracy of Fire Cells – FAI/IR. Ryo Cell”.

The full declaration is available here.
