The plans for this year’s Athens & Epidaurus Festival, which will be a tribute to Belgium has caused major upset amongst Greek artists.
It was recently announced that this year’s Festival will be a tribute to Belgium, the country of origin of the festival’s Curator Jan Fabre. According to Mr. Fabre, this decision was taken because he claims he did not have the necessary time to prepare Greek proposals.
In response to this decision, many artists have taken the initiative of calling fellow artists and journalists to attend a debate at the Sfendoni Theater in Athens on Friday, to discuss how they will react.
