Rumors suggest that the Prime Minister may soon carry out a cabinet reshuffle, with developments and statements expected on Friday.

So far government officials have denied any information on such a development from the Prime Minister’s office, however it appears that the reshuffle will focus on the bailout program review, economic recovery and growth.

A senior government officer who claims to have spoken to the Prime Minister on Thursday commented that while a reshuffle has been decided, the time of carrying has not been determined. The reshuffle, he added, could take place after the new effort to for an ESR of the visit of US President Obama.

The Ministry of Economy and Growth, the source explained, is expected to be among the more prominent ministries after the reshuffle. It has been suggested that State Minister Nikos Pappas may shift over there, following the recent TV license debacle.
