Samaras: “Recovery has already begun, from now on only forwards”

The Prime Minister Antonis Samaras headed the first session of the new ministerial council on Wednesday and commented that it symbolized a new day in the context of the great recovery efforts. Vice President Evangelos Venizelos noted that restoring injustices must be a priority.

Mr. Samaras thanked the members of the previous ministerial council who are no longer a part of the government and praised their efforts as important progress was achieved in a short time.

The Prime Minister hinted towards tax cuts in autumn, although this may be debatable considering the recent IMF report, and reiterated his intention to complete his four-year term in office.

Additionally Mr. Samaras explained that everything achieved so far is thank to the Greek people’s sacrifices, the determination of the government and the MPs that supported the government.
