The Greek statistics authority ELSTAT announced that the rate of inflation in Greece was found to have dropped by 1.1% in February 2014.

As explained by ELSTAT, the consumer price index in February 2014 was found to be 1.1% less than in February 2013. The rate of inflation in February 2013 was 0.1% more than in February 2012.

Compared to January 2014, the rate of inflation was found to be 1.3% less, compared to a 1.6% reduction that was documented in the same period in the previous year.

Overall, the average consumer price index for the 12-month period between March 2013 and February 2014 was reduced by 1.2%, compared to that during the March 2012-February 2013 period, what had increased by 1.2%.
