The pictures appeared to be from the distant past and the slogans dated back to the times when PASOK seemed more like the Iraqi Sunni Ba’ath party, rather than a Greek party.

At the event for Andreas Papandreou hosted by the “harbinger of change” everything seemed remote, distant, and almost pietistic.

Even the mannerisms and political culture were like a blast from the past.

Everyone had a good laugh when the slogans urged Giorgos to “hang tough” to get rid of the Right were uttered.

It is as if the unrepentant Papandreou guard lost its mind and is prepared to launch a new series of “struggle and change”

As if it wasn’t Giorgos Papandreou’s doings and imprudence that ruined the country, destroyed his party and surrendered power to the Right, which his fans are now castigating.

It is as if a time capsule was unsealed on Monday and the skeletons poured out into the streets.

Those blindly following political families seem to neglect that History repeats itself as a farce. One could reasonably ask; is one farce simply not enough and they need a second one?
