The Minister of Health appeared on Mega Channel’s morning chat show on Monday and warned the striking EOPYY doctors that if they refuse to surrender the organization’s clinics or cause any damages, they will be held responsible.
Despite his warning though, the Minister of Health Adonis Georgiadis estimated that in most cases EOPYY’s clinics will be handed over as expected.
Nevertheless, there have been numerous reactions to the Ministry’s plans, with the doctors at the Dafni-Agios Dimitrios clinic refusing to hand over the building, claiming that primary healthcare was essentially being abolished.
Further EOPYY clinics in Attica and elsewhere in Greece are also mobilizing against the Ministry’s plans and considering their next plans of action.
