According to the doctors at the “Gennimatas” hospital, the condition of 29-year-old Golden Dawn member Alexandros Gerontas has improved. Gerontas, who was seriously injured during a lethal shooting outside the offices of the ultra nationalist party on Friday, was treated for gunshot wounds and is being kept in an ICU.
Meanwhile, the police are increasing its investigation efforts to locate those responsible for the shooting. Aside from a stolen motorcycle that was later recovered near the crime scene and appears to have been used in the attack, the police are examining scores of video footage from nearby stores.
At least three cameras have captured the route of the shooter and his accomplice took, while dozens of eye-witness reports have provided details about the attack. A fourth Golden Dawn member who came face-to-face with the shooters and escaped the attack unscathed has yet to testify.
