The National Institute of Geodynamics of the Athens Observatory documented an earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale, in a maritime area just east of Zakynthos at 9:14 on Tuesday.
According to the official report, the earthquake, which took place about 13 kilometers west of Amaliada, was felt across the island. No damages or injuries have been reported.
