The main opposition party New Democracy has argued that the coalition government’s fight against the International Monetary Fund is not a “delusion” but rather a “sham”.
In its statement New Democracy cites a recent comment by State Minister Nikos Pappas, who noted that the IMF’s participation in the Greek bailout program is a given.
During a recent visit to Washington, Mr. Pappas stated that the IMF’s participation in the Greek program is a ‘given’ since it is a “part of the program” and claimed that the Greek government is not questioning its participation.
