The recent reductions in the EKAS pension benefit, which is gradually being phased out, caused major reactions and frustration among pensioners.
According to a report in the Ethnos newspaper, the government is considering readjusting the benefit by reducing the sums paid out and increasing the number of pensioners who qualify for it.
