The Fire Brigade and Special Disaster Response Unit (EMAK) have launched a search and rescue operation for a 36-year-old German tourist who went hiking in the area of Vradeto on Monday morning, before disappearing.
A friend of the missing man, who was staying at the village of Papigo near Ioannina, contacted the police after the 36-year-old failed to return and his mobile phone appeared to be switched off or out of signal range.
