Summer solstice and full moon together for the first time in 70 years

For the first time in about 70 years, since 1967, the summer solstice will coincide with a full moon in the northern hemisphere. Specifically, the solstice will arrive at 01:34am on Tuesday, with the moon turning full at 2:02am.

In order to celebrate this rare occurance, the Eugenides Foundation has arranged free showings of a documentary on the exploration of the universe and the Hubble Telescope at the Digital Planetarium -at 19:30 and 20:30.
