Private security firm Pyrsos Security formally announced on Tuesday that it will cease operations and shut down.
At present company employs about 800 people, who had not been paid their wages in months. It is also one of the three cash transportation companies in Greece.
The security firm, which was founded in 1994, had been experiencing major financial problems in the past year and a half, with many employees claiming that payments are up to eight months late.
