The deputy spokesman for the International Monetary Fund William Murray disputed a Bloomberg report, according to which IMF officials told their Eurozone colleagues that Greece is its “most unhelpful client ever”.

In the IMF’s scheduled press conference Mr. Murray told journalists that no such comments were ever made and claimed that there was no basis to the rumor.

According to Bloomberg’s report, the alleged remark was made in a conference call on Tuesday, between IMF, European Central Bank and European Commission officials and was presumably in reference to the Greek government’s inability to adhere to February’s bailout extension deal.
