The Ministry of Education, Rectors and Authority for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ADIP) met on Monday and came to an agreement regarding student admission in the next academic year.
The agreement was conditional and will come into effect provided that the universities receive the necessary funding and staff members. The universities have agreed to assume the responsibility of determining student admissions within the framework of the agreements with the state.
The Rectors consider this Education Ministry initiative to be rather important and stress the importance of their four-year planning. As such, a working group will be composed within the next couple months in order to submit relevant proposals, after taking into consideration the financial and human resources available at the universities.
