After a rather spectacular play off series, Panathinaikos and Olympiacos are tied 2-2 and will play one more time for the 2013/14 season at the OAKA stadium tonight.
While Panathinaikos has the home advantage, the Greens’ performance during the first three games in the series was lackluster, with challengers Olympiacos scoring their first victory against Panathinaikos’ home court during play offs since 1993.
Despite being ahead 2-1 though, Olympiacos lost against Panathinaikos in Game 4 in Piraeus, with the home advantage going back to Panathinaikos for the final game in the series.
Should the Reds managed to score a second away victory in the finals, Olympiacos will become the first club to win the championship in all four major sports in Greece (football, basketball, volleyball and water polo) in a single season.
The results in the series so far are as follows:
- Game 1: Panathinaikos v Olympiacos 59-56
- Game 2: Olympiacos v Panathinaikos 89-64
- Game 3: Panathinaikos v Olympiacos 64-69
- Game 4: Olympiacos v Panathinaikos 65-67
Tonight’s match will be broadcast by NERIT at 19:45
