Greece absorbed 74% of available NSRF community funds in 2013

The Minister of Growth Kostis Hatzidakis announced today that Greece has absorbed about 74% of NSRF community funds available in 2013, which puts Greece amongst the EU countries with highest rates.

Mr. Hatzidakis presented the official statistics which show that Greece has absorbed about 4.6 billion of available funds, exceeding its original targets. Under the bailout deal, Greece was obliged to absorb of 3.89 billion euros of NSRF funds in order to continue collecting support.

According to Mr. Hatzidakis, the total public NSRF expenses have amounted to 16.5 billion euros, with 7.7 billion being invested in the 18 months since the general elections in July 2012. In total, Mr. Hatzidakis claimed that about 6.650 bullion euros were invested in the markers in 2013, compared to 6.113 billion in 2013.
