Tsipras certain of elections in 2014, rather than 2016

SYRIZA and opposition leader Alexis Tsipras visited the Agios Andreas children’s charity, where he went to listen to traditional Christmas carols and took the opportunity to express his certainty that elections would take place in 2014, rather than in 2016.

Mr. Tsipras claimed that “the government has asked from Santa Claus for elections in 2016” and added that “elections will take place in 2014”. The opposition leader explained that the country’s recovery is set to begin in 2014.

Furthermore the opposition leader noted that this year will be “the hardest” Christmas holiday season in the past decades, but expressed his hope that “solidarity, collectivism and humanity” will help overcome the crisis.

The SYRIZA president finally opined that the crisis is primarily one of values, rather than finances. He also hoped that this year will be the “last dark Christmas” and expressed his optimism of a brighter future.
