The Presidential Guard band, the National Opera’s children’s choir and the Municipal Philharmonic Orchestra of Amfilohia visited the President of Democracy Karolos Papoulias this morning to sing traditional Christmas carols.
Mr. Papoulias wished everyone a Merry Christmas, before departing for Germany, where e spends the holidays every year with his family. He will return to Athens for the New Year celebrations.
The Prime Minister Antonis Samaras and his wife also hear Christmas carols from the Black Sea Pontian Club of Naousa, children of the Hatzikostas Foundation and the Vrakoforos Union of Crete. The Cretan envoy also recited poems wishing the PM the necessary strength to tackle homelessness, unemployment and poverty in Greece.
Finally, the choirs of the General Police Directorate of Attica and Greek Scouts visited the government Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs Evangelos Venizelos, wishing him a Merry Christmas.
