The municipal authorities of Samos have announced a demonstration for 1pm on Monday, in order to protest the impact of the refugee crisis on the island.
Among the main demands is the decongestion of the hot spot on the island, which is currently accommodated three times as many migrants and refugees than its intended capacity.
Recently there has been an increase in the clashes between local residents and refugees on the island.
