Those in charge of bringing charges against Mr. Stavros Psycharis, the publisher of Ta Nea and To Vima did their miracle once again. In the final working hour in Parliament on Monday, they managed to have the parliamentary committee send the publisher’s file to the Prosecution for further investigation.

The fact they took the decision in just a few minutes is indicative of the haste that is characteristic of the dark circles in the basements of power. The messenger brought the heavy folder with all the requested data shortly after 1.15pm.

The Committee had already made its decision before even receiving the folder!

The Committee had given an eight-day deadline to provide further documents and information. The Committee also decided that it will end its work for the day at 1pm and as such, wrapped up before the messenger even managed to submit the file.

It is wonder why the committee cancelled the documents and data over such a short delay. That confirms the predictions of Messrs. Tsipras and Pappas on criminal charges.

The case of the newspaper published will ultimately be decided by Greek justice. Just like To Vima stated on Sunday, there are judges in Berlin.

PS: In 18th century Prussia, King Frederick spent his summers in the summer palace at Sans Souci (“without care”) near Potsdam. A noisy windmill nearby annoyed and bothered Frederick, so demanded to buy it. The miller owner refused to sell it to the king, who then threatened to take it with force. Then the miller responded with the proverbial phrase that has left its mark in History: “Yes, but there are judges in Berlin”.
