All information from the talks between the troika and IMF with the Greek government lead to the conclusion that the agreement signed between all parties must be implemented. There may be some deviation from the budget surplus that must be achieved over the next years, but it is clear that to achieve this additional measures are necessary, more than what the government can handle.
Based on the beliefs within the government, the only way to find this additional revenue is to impose new taxes and carry out any acceptable pension cuts. The few employees who earn more than 30,000 euros will be called to pay for the government’s inability to tidy up the state sector.
