The nationwide federation of port employees (OMYLE), along with the union of employees at the port authority of Piraeus, have announced a 48-hour strike for the 16th and 17th of February.

According to the statement issued by the federation and union, the 48-hour strike was called to oppose the planned privatizations and “the major selling off” of public assets.

Meanwhile, a demonstration of port employees from all over Greece has been scheduled for Wednesday, 10th of February, outside the Piraeus Port Authority HQ.
