The body of a 36-year-old woman who had gone missing about a month ago from Agios Georgios in Istiea was discovered in the maritime area off the coast of Limni of Evia.
The Coast Guard authorities of Aedipsos were informed of a body floating near the port, only a couple meters from the coat. The area was promptly cordoned off and the body was recovered.
The identity of the deceased was determined by the wedding ring, which had her marriage date and husband’s name inscribed. A post-mortem examination ahs been ordered to determine the cause of death. Preliminary reports note that there are no visible traumas.
