According to the Institute of Geodynamics of the Athens Observatory, an earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale occurred at about 3:34am on Friday morning near the island of Kasos.
Specifically, the epicenter of the earthquake was located at about 17 kilometers north-northeast of Kasos and 404 kilometers southeast of Athens.
